May 2nd 2012. That was the last time Newcastle beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

It was an incredible night for the Magpies, especially Papiss Cisse. His first goal was a brilliant move rounded off with an exceptional volleyed finish.

His second goal in stoppage time was one of the greatest in Premier League history – an audacious volley from near the touchline that swerved and looped over the despairing Petr Cech.

Seven years on, where is the XI that recorded Newcastle’s last win away to Chelsea?

Tim Krul

The Dutch goalkeeper was Newcastle’s main man seven years ago. He’s still in the Premier League and a first-choice goalkeeper, but with Norwich City instead.

James Perch

Perchinho’s three years as a Mag were the best of his career. Now he’s in League One with Scunthorpe United.

Mike Williamson

When you look at this team, it’s amazing we finished fifth. Williamson is now player/manager at Gateshead.

Now aged 37, former captain Coloccini is still in Argentina, representing San Lorenzo following his Newcastle exit three years ago.

Davide Santon

The Italian fullback provided the assist for Cisse’s first stunner of the night. Santon now plays for Roma in Serie A.

Yohan Cabaye

Don’t sell Cabaye… but the board did exactly that in January 2014. The glorious French midfielder is back in Ligue 1, signing a one-year deal with St Etienne this summer.

Cheick Tiote

The Ivorian spent six and a half years as a Geordie, scoring just once for the club, but what a goal it was. In June 2017, Tiote suffered a cardiac arrest and tragically lost his life.

Jonas Gutierrez

A cancer survivor as well as a modern day Toon legend, Jonas Gutierrez is still playing at 36-years-old, representing Banfield in Argentina.

Hatem Ben Arfa

One of the most talented players ever to wear the black and white of Newcastle, Ben Arfa has a special place in the hearts of a lot of fans. Despite just being 32, Ben Arfa is a free agent after leaving Rennes at the end of last season.

Demba Ba

A release clause allowed Demba Ba to leave Newcastle for Chelsea in January 2013. He’s since suffered a horrific leg break, but is still playing. The striker represents Istanbul Basaksehir.

Papiss Cisse

The hero of the night. If you asked anyone to name their favourite Papiss Cisse goal, 99/100 people would pick his second at Stamford Bridge on May 2nd. He now plays for Alanyaspor in Turkey.
