Newcastle United will welcome Joelinton back into the side for their Premier League clash with Brighton on Saturday – while Anthony Gordon could also return.
Joelinton has missed Newcastle United’s last two Premier League games – defeats to Bournemouth and Arsenal – through suspension.
Who is YOUR choice to start up front vs Brighton and why? 🤔
The Brazilian, however, is free of that now and could come into central midfield as Eddie Howe chases the victory he so desperately needs.
With that in mind, here’s a look at the latest Newcastle United team news.
Newcastle United predicted lineup vs Brighton
It would not be a surprise to see Joelinton come back into the midfield.
Changes could happen elsewhere, too. Lewis Hall was dropped against Arsenal, although perhaps he could feature again given the Seagulls do not boast quite as much in the way of physicality as the Gunners.
Elsewhere, it will be fascinating to see what happens up front. Nick Woltemade impressed during his cameo against Arsenal, while Yoane Wissa was handed something of an extended run out.
What changes would you make to this team? 🤔
Please play Nick Woltemade 🤞
Newcastle United predicted XI vs Arsenal: Pope; Miley, Thiaw, Botman, Hall; Tonali, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Elanga, Woltemade, Barnes

Newcastle United confirmed team news vs Brighton
There has been some relatively good news in regard to Gordon ahead of the game.
Indeed, Howe has confirmed that Gordon could play against Brighton after returning to training following a hip injury in recent weeks.
The England international has trained at least in part ahead of Saturday’s game, ahead of what could be his penultimate home game for the club amid mounting transfer speculation.
Newcastle United injuries vs Brighton
Tino Livramento, Fabian Schar and Emil Krafth are all injured for Newcastle heading into Saturday’s game.
Livramento’s groin injury could rule him out for the rest of the season and Krafth is not expected to play again for the remainder of the campaign.
Fabian Schar, meanwhile, could potentially feature again but is still recovering from foot surgery.
