Newcastle United’s meeting with Everton in the Premier League on Sunday is absolutely huge.

Indeed, Newcastle United host Everton in their final Premier League assignment of the 2024-25 campaign, knowing a victory would ensure they qualify for the Champions League next season.

Heading into the final day, Newcastle United are fourth in the Premier League table. All of that could change, however, if Eddie Howe’s side do not claim three points at St James’ Park

It could not be a bigger game for the club. Newcastle could earn £17million by qualifying for the Champions League, while the prize money on offer deeper into the competition is much more lucrative.

Fans in the UK, however, will not be able to watch the game.

Why Newcastle United vs Everton isn’t on TV

Sky Sports are not showing Newcastle United vs Everton because they have selected other games for TV coverage.

Instead, they will broadcast Liverpool vs Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea.

TNT Sports also won’t show Newcastle United vs Everton as they have decided to select Manchester United vs Aston Villa for broadcast.

That will be hugely frustrating for Newcastle supporters unable to get a ticket for the game against Everton.

While the Chelsea and Villa games do have something riding on them in terms of the Champions League race, the decision to show Liverpool’s fixture seems very strange.

They wrapped up the title weeks ago and neither they nor Palace have a lot to play for on the final day.

How to follow Newcastle United vs Everton

Despite not showing the game, Sky Sports will upload free highlights of Newcastle United vs Everton on their YouTube channel shortly after the game.

Match of the Day 2, meanwhile, will be broadcast on free-to-air coverage on Sunday night on BBC One at 10.30pm BST.

That will be Gary Lineker’s final appearance on the iconic show, with Kelly Cates, Mark Chapman and Gabby Logan confirmed as the new presenters from next season.

You can also keep across all of the post-match reaction on Geordie Boot Boys as Newcastle hope to ensure they are a Champions League football club once again next season.
