Newcastle United and Arsenal renew hostilities in the Premier League on Sunday.

Eddie Howe’s side are looking to pick up only their second win of the Premier League season when Newcastle United play Arsenal on Sunday.

It has been a tough start to the season for Newcastle United as they adapt to a summer change, but Howe will no doubt be hoping to lean on his fine record up against the Gunners at St James’ Park

A statement performance is needed from Newcastle. For obvious reasons, it’s been a rather disjointed campaign thus far, but those excuses will not last forever.

Whatever the result, however, it’s likely to be quite the occasion on Tyneside considering the growing rivalry between the two clubs.

With that in mind, here’s everything you need to know about where to watch the game.

Newcastle United vs Arsenal confirmed referee

Jarred Gillett has been appointed as the referee for Newcastle United vs Arsenal, with Darren England overseeing things on VAR.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has previously been critical of some of Gillett’s decisions after he ruled out a goal from Kai Havertz in a game against Aston Villa in 2023. Villa would go on to win that match.

Gillett sent off Newcastle’s Kieran Trippier during a 3-3 draw with Manchester City in 2023 but would go on to overturn that decision.
