There was more good news for Newcastle United today, as the U18s beat Watford in the FA Youth Cup to reach the competition’s quarter-finals.

Toon fans are allowing themselves a moment of celebration after the first-team came from behind to beat Burnley 2-1 at Turf Moor.

The result has allowed Newcastle to go six points clear of Fulham in the Premier League table.

And just hours later, the U18s were also winners, beating the Hornets 3-2 in extra-time.

The game was won in style by none other than Elliot Anderson, whose free-kick sailed into the top corner in the final minute. The goalkeeper did get a touch, but the power and accuracy were just too much from the young man.
