Ki Sung-Yueng put in a fantastic performance for Newcastle as the team secured their first win of the season against Watford on Saturday.

Coming on as a substitute in the 51st minute for an injured Jonjo Shelvey, the South-Korean completely changed the game.
A problem for Newcastle this season has been maintaining possession in midfield and the midfielder appeared to solve this issue within minutes of coming on.
His short, neat passes under pressure allowed Newcastle to get numbers up the pitch after having been boxed in by Watford for most of the game.
He also eventually proved the difference between the two sides when he assisted Ayoze Perez from a free-kick.

His cross was hit with such power and accuracy that Perez couldn’t really miss what proved to be the winning goal for Newcastle.
Newcastle’s strikers have come under a lot of criticism this season for not scoring goals, but the truth is they haven’t had many chances created for them.
While he might not create tons of opportunities, he gave the rest of the team confidence to push forward.
The midfielder has certainly given Rafa Benitez something to think about for the upcoming game against Bournemouth.
And many supporters believe he has earned a starting place.
