Newcastle United are looking to put some distance between themselves and Fulham in the Premier League table with a win over Manchester United tonight.
The Cottagers have put the pressure on the Magpies by beating Sheffield United yesterday, meaning there are now only three points between the clubs in the table.

Tonight’s opponents Manchester United are currently second in the table and trying to keep pace with leaders Manchester City.
But they have stuttered of late, winning just one of their last five.
Potentially there is a chance for Newcastle but it will take a huge effort without the injured Callum Wilson.

The Magpies can potentially get some joy against Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof, with neither player possessing much pace.
Bruce has named his starting XI for the clash and in goal, Karl Darlow keeps his place in the side, despite claims of Martin Dubravka being unhappy on the bench.
Darlow is protected by a back four of Emil Krafth, Jamaal Lascelles, Ciaran Clark and Jamal Lewis.
In midfield, Jonjo Shelvey partners Isaac Hayden, with Joe Willock also in there for his third start since arriving on loan from Arsenal.
Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin provide the width, and Joelinton – much maligned during his time at St. James’ Park – seemingly leads the line on his own.
On social media, some Newcastle fans have been reacting to the team news, with £38,000-a-week star Dubravka’s (Spotrac) continued role on the bench a particular talking point:
does bruce want dubravka to hand in a transfer request or something

Dubravka is gonna be gone in the summer just like the rest of the good players

Bruce says he knows dubravka isn’t happy on the bench but still decides to play an out of form darlow. Logic

Where is Dubravka??

As well as Darlow has done you can’t beat the fact that Dubravka is the better of the two and IMO one of the best in the PL. So as I see the first name on teamsheet I know the manager is still clueless. #NUFC
