Newcastle United face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Satuday.
It’s a huge game for the Magpies, with Fulham now right on their tail after a great recent run.
The Cottagers are just three points behind and could actually leapfrog Steve Bruce’s side this weekend.
Newcastle face a Wolves side who have been resurgent over the past few weeks.
They were in free fall over Christmas and New Year, but have recovered to take 10 points out of the last 12 available.
It’ll be a hard game, with Wolves possessing a number of quality players like Pedro Neto, Ruben Neves and Adama Traore.
And it’s been confirmed that the man in the middle for Saturday’s game will be none other than Mike Dean, who is arguably English football’s most talked about referee.
Dean, 52, returned to action last weekend to officiate the goalless draw between West Bromwich Albion and Burnley, after he asked to be taken off officiating duties due to receiving threats to his safety after some recent controversies over in-game decisions he made.
In the 16 games he’s overseen so far, the busy Dean has issued 58 yellow cards, five reds and awarded five penalties.
On social media, some Newcastle fans were left feeling pretty pessimistic over a positive result upon learning about Dean’s appointment:
