Caolan Boyd-Munce then scored an own goal for the Blues, before Stephenson rounded things off by sliding the ball home from close-range for his brace.
It’s been a great start to the season for Stephenson, who has three goals from his first two games.
The Blyth-born winger’s development will be under close inspection this season.
The star regularly caught the eye last term, his FA Youth Cup first-half hat-trick against Leeds United a particular highlight.

He is seen as one of the best prospects at the club, and it remains to be seen if a first-team chance will be in the offing.
