Newcastle United have recorded back-to-back wins in the Premier League, to take a huge step towards staying in the division.

The Magpies survived a scare against West Ham United yesterday to run out 3-2 winners, and go nine points clear of Fulham.

Newcastle went in at the break 2-0 up and also a man up, but then somehow allowed their opponents to get back level in the second-half.

But it was that man Joe Willock again who popped up late on to deal a major blow to the Hammers’ Champions League hopes, and massively boost Newcastle’s chances of staying up.

It was a fantastic winning goal, with the midfielder arriving into the box and rising high to head home a Matt Ritchie cross.

Ritchie has again come in for high praise on social media for bringing leadership and character to the starting XI.

He was great again yesterday, and actually finished the game with two assists to his name.

A video clip of Ritchie has been circling social media since the game yesterday.

It shows the 31-year-old putting in his cross for Willock and then jumping himself to head it in.

Fans know how committed to the cause Ritchie is, and they were loving seeing him head in his own cross before running off to wildly celebrate:
