Newcastle United reportedly have an interest in signing Kyle Bartley from West Brom this summer.
That’s according to the Telegraph, who claim the Magpies and Crystal Palace want to bring the 30-year-old back to the Premier League.
The report claims he could be available for as little as £3million.
Despite the bargain fee, Toon fans are not happy with the latest defensive target.
Steve Bruce seems desperate to sign a centre-back this summer, despite boasting a plethora of options at the heart of defence.

However, Florian Lejeune will reportedly be allowed to leave, while Fabian Schar has also been linked with an exit.
Newcastle have been linked with various different centre-backs, but are yet to sign any first-team players.
The latest to be linked is Bartley, who suffered relegation with West Brom last season. Interestingly, last season was the first time that Bartley had been a regular starter in the Premier League.
The Arsenal academy graduate has played a lot of Championship football, while he also enjoyed a spell with Rangers north of the border.
Bartley is not a player Newcastle need right now. We have depth at centre-back. If we’re going to sign a defender, he needs to be better than what we already have.

However, with money set to be tight until the club’s ownership is resolved, it seems like we will continue to be linked with bargain basement signings like this.
Regardless, some Toon fans are not happy, and do not want to see Bartley arrive at St James’ Park.
