Newcastle United managed to turn things around against West Ham on Saturday. And then some.
Eddie Howe’s side fought back from 3-1 down to ultimately win 4-3 at St James’ Park on a fantastic afternoon for Harvey Barnes in particular.
While not even his stunning two late goals tell the whole story given the injuries and red card Newcastle also had to battle with, it is the winger who is taking most of the praise.
Still, it was a team effort to come through such adversity.
Indeed, the likes of Elliot Anderson helped changed the game upon his introduction too, as well as a certain Lewis Hall.
The defender has struggled for game time amid a belief he is not yet ready enough for regular Premier League competition but he did well at left-back.
With Tino Livramento forced off and Kieran Trippier unavailable, perhaps the teenager is now set for a run in the first-team.
After a difficult season thus far, Hall sent a new message to Newcastle fans.
Lewis Hall sends fresh message to Newcastle fans after rare chance against West Ham
Speaking in a reel posted by the club’s official Instagram account, Hall said: “Hi Newcastle fans, Lewis here.
“Thank you for all your support for us today, you stuck with us until the end. Yeah, it was a special day.”

How well did Lewis Hall play for Newcastle vs West Ham?
According to WhoScored data, Hall managed to make three tackles after his introduction, trailing only Bruno Guimaraes from a Newcastle perspective on that front.
Only Sean Longstaff, Fabian Schar and Dan Burn managed more than him when it came to interceptions (2 to 1), too.
Hopefully, it was a performance that has Howe thinking about selecting him a touch more regularly, should he keep up that level of performance.
Should injury problems keep mounting as they are, there’s every chance Newcastle will need him.
Perhaps this can be the start of something for Hall.
