'It just makes me sad' - Newcastle fans discuss Joselu's display against Leicester

Newcastle United are still without a win this season after losing at home to Leicester City.

In their Premier League clash at St James’ Park, Newcastle were beaten 2-0 by the Foxes.

Jamie Vardy opened the scoring with a penalty before England defender Harry Maguire confirmed the win.

It has been a very difficult season for Newcastle and with just two points this season, they are in a relegation battle.

Striker problem

One major problem for Newcastle is their firepower up front. They are simply not scoring any goals.

With just four goals in seven games, getting rid of Dwight Gayle and Aleksandr Mitrovic this summer beggars belief.

Although neither were prolific, they are surely better than Joselu, who started against Leicester.

Joselu does have two goals this season. But he has been poor when he has played.

Against Leicester, he was anonymous for most of the game and wasteful in attack.

Do some supporters genuinely believe Rafa looked at Joselu, Perez & Rondon and said “ok Mike, you can let Mitrovic & Gayle go now, we are all good for goals oh & keep the £27m, maybe use 9m to buy Muto if you like?”
