Newcastle United have some brilliant players, there is little doubt about that.
While consistency may be an issue at times, the Newcastle United squad is one to be envied across the Premier League and beyond.
It would, of course, be nice to see Eddie Howe allowed to strengthen it even further but that reportedly looks reasonably unlikely ahead of the January transfer window.

With that in mind, it’s up to the Newcastle United manager to make the best of what he’s got available – and there are certainly some brilliant talents on Tyneside.
One of them is Alexander Isak.
An absolutely brilliant forward, the Sweden international scored a fine hat-trick during Saturday’s Premier League win over Ipswich.
In fact, the striker’s display was so good he was applauded off by home supporters at Portman Road.

Indeed, it seems it wasn’t only the Ipswich fans who were impressed.

Kieran McKenna hails Alexander Isak after Newcastle’s win at Ipswich
Speaking after the game, Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna admitted Isak was one of the very best forwards his team have come up against following his brilliant haul on Saturday.
“He’s a very good striker, we’ve faced plenty of good strikers this year but he’s one of a very high level and everything that we thought Newcastle were and everybody knows they are at their best, they showed today,” he said (via Newcastle World).
How much is Alexander Isak worth?
While Isak has consistently been linked with a move away in recent months, Newcastle seem to be standing firm.
Back in May, after all, it was suggested the club valued him at a stunning £180million. If a club was to pay that, Isak would become one of the most expensive players of all time. That’s how highly they rate him, even if his fitness record is a reasonably slight concern.
McKenna is right to hail him. Isak, at his best, is a talent few can rival.
Hopefully, the noise around his future soon quietens down. Replacing Isak would be a mammoth task for any club, particularly in a PSR world.
