Newcastle United are on the hunt for their first away win in the Premier League this season when they travel to crisis club West Ham on Sunday.

Eddie Howe’s side have been solid if unspectacular on the road in the Premier League this season.

While Newcastle lost their last away game in the league in a 2-1 defeat at Brighton, that was their only reversal away from home thus far.

Still, they are yet to pick up three points on their travels. A trip to the Hammers offers a great chance to get up and running away from home this season.

The hosts are enduring a dreadful start to their campaign and are yet to win a home game in four attempts.

Newcastle United’s record at the London Stadium

West Ham moved into the London Stadium in 2016, and it has proven a thoroughly unpopular decision amongst supporters.

It has, however, proven to be a happy hunting ground for the Magpies. In eight games at the London Stadium, Newcastle have recorded five wins and two draws.

Their only loss came during the 2018/19 season, when Declan Rice and Mark Noble condemned Rafa Benitez’s side a 2-0 defeat.

Failing to continue their strong record there would be a major setback for Newcastle, considering West Ham’s struggles so far this season.
