Dele Alli could meet a familiar foe when Everton welcome Newcastle to Goodison Park.

The two sides clash tonight live on Amazon Prime, with the Toffees desperate for points. As for Newcastle, they’ll be looking to bounce back after Chelsea ended their unbeaten run on Sunday.

It’s set to be a huge night on Merseyside, but very different to the one on Tyneside last month.

Back then it was Newcastle who were desperate for points, looking to move away from the relegation zone. Now it’s Everton who are in immediate danger.

Frank Lampard’s side are only out of the bottom three on goal difference. An extremely heavy defeat at the hands of Newcastle would actually put Everton in the relegation zone. However, it’s hard to see the Magpies winning 7-0

Everton will be looking at their big players to step up tonight, including Alli, who had an interesting night at St James’ Park on February 8th.

Joelinton could be looking for revenge on Dele Alli

The England midfielder joined Everton in January, and made his Toffees debut in the 3-1 defeat to Newcastle. He was a second half substitute, but was unable to inspire his new side.

Alli severely struggled at St James’ Park, but almost left his mark on Joelinton.

With the game over at 3-1 and the final whistle approaching, the pair clashed. Alli attempted to play a pass, but was denied by the energetic Brazilian. Everton’s number 36 followed through on Joelinton, leaving him in a heap on the ground.

The furious 25-year-old then rose to his feet and confronted Alli, pushing him in the chest. It was a bit of handbags, but showed the renewed desire Joelinton has in a Toon shirt.

There’s a chance he could return to the side tonight, having missed the previous two games. And if he does return, perhaps Alli will be looking nervously over his shoulder.
