Here is how the team compares to our predicted XI for the game.

This is a massive game for the Magpies, as it kickstarts a new era following the club’s takeover and the departure of Mike Ashley.

The atmosphere is going to be electric.

Bruce will be hoping to get a win in his 1,000th game as a manager which could impress the new owners, who will be watching the game from inside the stadium.

A win would take the team out of the Premier League relegation zone, and the three points would continue to spread the feel-good factor surrounding the club.

Wilson is back alongside his strike-partner Allan Saint-Maximin, and the pair will be looking to get at a shaky Tottenham defence.

Following his exploits with Paraguay during the international break, Miguel Almiron is not involved.

Club captain Lascelles is back after missing the last two games, and Wilson returns after missing the last four.

Jonjo Shelvey is back on the bench and could make his first appearance since the opening weekend of the season.

Despite Wilson being back in the side, Joelinton keeps his place in the team. Lascelles and Wilson replace Federico Fernandez and Almiron.
