Jonas Gutierrez scored 12 goals for Newcastle United. Three of them came against the same opponent – Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Magpies take on Wolves next in the Premier League, and they need somebody in black and white to have a Gutierrez moment against the East Midlands side.

The most likely candidate? Allan Saint-Maximin.
When you compare the Frenchman to Spiderman, it’s impossible not to see the similarities. Both players are sensational dribblers, going past players when all hope looked lost. While Saint-Maximin is much quicker than Jonas, we haven’t see the summer signing get on the scoresheet.

Jonas was far from a regular scorer, unless he was playing Wolves of course. A quarter of his Newcastle goals came against them, and they were three screamers.
The first came at the end of a 4-1 triumph in 2011, wrapping up a convincing win in stoppage time. His second was a brilliant solo effort, dribbling past multiple orange shirts before a neat finish. And his third against Wolves was the pick of the lot, an absolute rocket from outside the box.

All three goals were something you could see Saint-Maximin doing. The 22-year-old is already a fans’ favourite because of his speed and dribbling ability, getting fans on the edge of the seats just like Gutierrez did when he first arrived.
Hopefully Saint-Maximin has been watching videos of the Toon legend ahead of the game at St James’ Park.
