The Premier League‘s all-time top scorer still had enough about him come full time to hit up social media and dish out credit where it was due.
Bruno Guimaraes was outstanding for Newcastle last night
After Bruno Guimaraes, who had another outstanding game for Newcastle last night, posted an image on Instagram, Shearer was straight in with a response.
Bruno’s post read: “One night to remember forever! Very proud of the team! We have the best fans in the world! We keep going. Unbelievable performance for everyone,” and Alan Shearer immediately responded with a bunch of clapping emojis.
Guimaraes promised he would deliver Champions League nights to Newcastle when he signed, and given that Newcastle were rooted to the foot of the Premier League at the time, it seemed like a it was a dream that was a long way off.
