DeAndre Yedlin has been on the bench recently for Newcastle, but should be recalled on Saturday.
Javi Manquillo took his place after the American gave away a late penalty against Crystal Palace and has done well.
But Rafa Benitez has often rotated on the right-side of defence depending on the opponent, and Saturday should be no different.
While Manquillo, who previously played for the Reds during a loan spell under Brendan Rodgers, has played well, Yedlin might be better equipped against a rampant Liverpool attack.
Speed merchant Yedlin should return
With Liverpool going in pursuit of the Premier League title still, they won’t put out a weakened side. Even though Barcelona head to Anfield during the week, their game against the Magpies is equally as important.
Liverpool are at their best when their front three link up and use their blistering pace. That’s where Yedlin could be useful.
Sadio Mane usually operates on the left flank for Jurgen Klopp and has been in sensational form. While neither Yedlin or Manquillo are particularly great in one-on-one situations, the former’s pace makes him a better option.
The 25-year-old’s speed going backwards has bailed us out on multiple occasions and we might need to rely on it again on Saturday night.
