Newcastle United are bottom of the Premier League without a win to their name this season.

But they can take inspiration from their under-23 side, who earned their first win of the Premier League 2 campaign last night.

And it was an impressive victory, too. Ben Dawson’s men ran out 5-2 winners against Fulham.

The star man on the evening was undoubtedly Elias Sorensen.

The youngster netted a hat-trick to earn the young Magpies their first league win of the season.

The 18-year-old joined Newcastle from Danish side HG Kobe in 2016 and has been in the youth set-up ever since.

The Denmark youth international plays as a striker and has tasted senior football back in his native country.

A section of Newcastle fans are now calling for him to be called up to the first-team.

Rafa Benitez’s men have been toothless in front of goal. The likes of Ayoze Perez and Joselu have failed to impress and score the goals to lift Newcastle away from the bottom of the league.
