Ryan Fraser is probably the most exciting player currently linked with a move to Newcastle.

After reports earlier in the week, the Chronicle confirmed that he is one of the wingers Newcastle have looked at ahead of the transfer window.

The Scot is enjoying the season of his life. He’s taken his game to new heights, both scoring and creating for Eddie Howe’s side.

So why would he want to join Newcastle?

Fraser playing alongside Almiron would excite fans

When Miguel Almiron moved to Newcastle, there was a real buzz.

When he made his debut, that buzz was vindicated. Almiron gets fans off their seats with his blistering pace.

The Paraguayan has given us a different dimension going forward, but he is just one piece of the jigsaw.

We would have a much more complete attack if Almiron could play alongside Fraser. We could be one of the best counterattacking sides in the Premier League.

With Almiron down one flank and Fraser on the other, we would be feared by the opposition. The pace would give defenders sleepless nights.

The main thing missing from Newcastle right now is creative players who can guide the Magpies up the table.

Fraser’s arrival would only enhance the buzz that Almiron brought with him. The pair could be a lethal combination, and one that fans will be desperate to see.

Of course, being linked with a player and signing him is two completely different things, especially when it comes to Newcastle.
