It might be April Fool’s Day, but Moussa Sissoko looked a bit of a joke yesterday.
The former Newcastle midfielder started for Tottenham at Anfield, in a game that was key in Liverpool’s title pursuit.

And with the score at 1-1 late in the game, the 29-year-old had a chance to effectively hand Manchester City the title.
The Frenchman burst through on goal, with just Virgil van Dijk to beat and Heung Min Son in support. Van Dijk’s defending forced the midfielder to go it alone, with only Alisson to beat.
Sadly for Spurs, and Manchester City, he blazed over. Then a Toby Alderweireld own goal would give Liverpool victory.

The fact we got £30million for him is still incredible. While he has had a bit of a renaissance at Spurs, it was still the heist of the century from the Geordies.
